Wales: The Ffestiniog Railway

This is my travel Thursday post, we had a power cut yesterday and wasn’t able to finish my post.

My family came to England in 2011, it was the first time they were all here. Hubby and I decided to take them to see as much as we could in the three weeks they had here. We went to London, North Wales, Scotland, York and the Lake District. While in Wales, we took them on a steam train from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog. It was one of my favourite activities that we did while they were here, a very unique experience!

Here is my favourite photo of the day 🙂

Day 349 – Goodbye Treasure Cottage…

Last picture taken from Treasure Cottage.

Day 348 – Sea Views

Treasure Cottage had some amazing views. The picture below was taken just outside the house. I could have stayed there forever.

Day 347 – Treasure Cottage

On day 344, hubby and I went to Llandudno for a weekend away with the family. We got there at around 7pm and only had a chance to take a few pictures with my phone. The owners of the cottage left a bottle of Cava for us with a lovely note.

Day 335 – Caernarfon Castle

On our way home from Abererch, I asked hubby whether we could make a quick stop in Caernarfon. We walked around the town and enjoyed some beautiful views of the castle and the sea. Here is the photo for day 332.

Day 334 – Abererch

This was our second day in Wales, during the morning we went for a walk around the camp. While on our walk, I took lots of picture and the below is my favourite.

Hubby also took some pictures, here is one of his pictures (rabbit poo!).

Day 333 – Abstract

I don’t think I have done one yet so here it is. I took this photo on our way to Abererch, we were going away with hubby’s family for the weekend. It was raining most of the way there; Abererch is in North Wales and took us about two hours to get there. This was the view I had for the two-hour drive, dark skies and lots of rain.
