On our way home from Abererch, I asked hubby whether we could make a quick stop in Caernarfon. We walked around the town and enjoyed some beautiful views of the castle and the sea. Here is the photo for day 332.
Our new home is very close to Shakerley Mere, on this evening we went for a drive around our new house and as we were making our way back we decided to stop at the mere. Shakerley looked stunning as the sun had set and it had left behind some beautiful colours in the sky that were at the same time reflected in the water. Here is my best picture of the night 🙂
We went to visit Shakerley mere again yesterday afternoon. We got there at around half six just as the sun was setting. The mere is right next to the M6 so is very noisy, yet I was surprised to see lots of wild life around. The mere used to be a salt quarry for when the motorway was being built. It was later filled with water and made into a park. It is a beautiful place considering the noise which you soon learn to ignore and start enjoying the scenery.
Tonight hubby and I went for a long walk at dusk. I really enjoyed myself, the lighting was great and the skies were yet again completely amazing! I love when the sky has lots of colour, feels like someone has taken a brush and painted a masterpiece. It was also the first time the weather was slightly mild, on my return home I could still feel my toes and fingers yay!
I took lots of pictures tonight so I thought I may share a few with you. Happy Friday to everyone!
Yay, I have reached Day 100! Today was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and after a few days (seems like weeks) of nothing but grey skies I was so thankful for the sunshine! Coming from South America I find it very hard to be cheery during dark days. I feel like I need the sunshine and probably I do since I need to replenish my Vitamin D intake.
Tonight, yet again, I tried to make it home just in time to take some pictures of the Sunset. I got stuck on traffic and by the time I got home the sun had set and the skies had lost its colour. I still made my way to Marbury park, set my tripod and took some photos of Budworth Mere. Below are two of my fave pics.
Tonight I went to town to take some pictures. Once there I headed straight towards the Town Bridge. I have driven across it for a few years now and until tonight I have never stopped to look at it properly. The bridge was built in 1899 and it was one of the first electric-powered swing bridges in Great Britain. I have never seen it in action but I really would love to!
Happy Weekend to everyone!
We went to Winnington Village on ‘Day 45’ to take pictures of Wallerscote Island.
Today I tried to make it home just in time for Sunset but did not arrive home until 6:00pm. It was a bit late for a sunset but as the skies still had a bit light on them, we decided to visit Marbury Park. We walked towards one of the canals in which you get to see Wallerscote Island from a different angle. It was very hard to choose just one picture so tonight I am sharing three instead. I hope to submit this picture for a local competition, so I would appreciate it if you could tell me which one is your favourite. If I win I get to choose the subject for the next competition!
Here it goes Wallerscote Island from a different angle.
This morning my car broke down on my way to work. I took my car to the garage and returned home. I was able to work from home the rest of the day. During my lunch hour I went for a quick walk to a canal nearby. The skies were very clear and the sun was shining bright. It was a very beautiful day.
The recipe for the Chimichurri Sauce I followed last night was one of the best ones so far. I will provide more information on a separate post.
My picture today is of the canal and the boats. I love the reflection on the water.
I love days out! We always try to fill our weekends with lots of fun things to do. Today we went to Tatton Park in Knutsford to visit the Dickensian Christmas Mansion. The house was decorated and had characters from Dickens’ Christmas novels. They had carol singers and storytellers. It was very entertaining and beautiful
After visiting the Mansion we went for a walk around the park. It has been raining a lot this week so there were quite a few temporary ponds around the park. My picture today was taken as we were walking towards Tatton Park’s Old Hall.
