Last Sunday we arrived to Cheshire around mid afternoon. It was a pretty spring day and decided to make our way to Marbury. We walked around the forest part of Marbury for over three hours and I took about 100 pictures, everything looked so beautiful, especially the trees and flowers.
It was very difficult to choose a picture for this day but here is my favourite.
Also, I tried to do a self-portrait, I love taking pictures but I really hate getting my picture taken. I always feel very self-conscious and not sure how to pose or what to do. Anyway, I am really glad I look very small compared to the very tall trees 🙂
It was exactly a year ago that hubby and I got married in a beautiful Catholic church in Lima, Peru. I don’t know whether you have read my first posts but we had two weddings. We got married in the beautiful Island of Bute, Scotland in 2011 in the presence of all hubby’s families and friends. Only five members of my family were able to make it from Peru. Hence the decision to separate the occasion in two and hold our Catholic wedding in Peru. Both weddings were incredible and very different; I was very blessed to have had the opportunity to marry my husband twice!
Here we are a year later and we are celebrating again but this time the wedding of two of our friends. Tim and Kim got engaged around the same time we did. They decided to have a long engagement and it was after our return from Peru that we were told they were going to be celebrating their wedding on the same day we had ours. We couldn’t have hoped for a better way to celebrate our first anniversary of our Catholic wedding than to spend it with all our friends.
I wish I had taken more pictures on Saturday but only managed to take pictures up to the end of the ceremony. The rest of the time I was too busy enjoying myself. It was beautiful Cornish day and everything looked very pretty. Here is my favourite picture of the day!
In case you were curious here is a picture of our Wedding in Peru.
Sunday was a busy day for us. We woke up early and made our way to Cheshire Oaks to get some shoes for the wedding this weekend. We then went to the Foodies Festival at Tatton Park. It was our first time going to the festival and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It had a great variety of food stalls like seafood, burgers, hog roasts, Mexican, Spanish, Indian, Lebanese, Moroccan and many more. I would have loved to try a bit of everything but only ended up having one dish. I had a lovely paella while hubby had a spicy burrito and for dessert we shared some churros. It was a fun day and the rain managed to stay away. On our way out of Tatton Park I took pictures of some sheep laying on the ground having a snooze 🙂
I am still a bit shy about taking pictures of people and the pictures below are two of the few ones I managed to take inside the Festival.
Last Wednesday hubby and I went for a drive around the village of Goostrey. It is a pretty little village close to where we live now. While driving back home I saw all these geese in a field enjoying the sunshine 🙂
On Day 163, hubby and I went back to the Dragonfly Pond to see if we could see any dragonflies. It was the first day in which the sun was out, it was warm outside and it actually felt like spring. We didn’t see any dragonflies, but we saw lots birds and bees flying around. I took a picture of this pond previously in Day 97, as you will be able to see a lot has changed in the last two months. Here is my favourite picture of the day.
Two more pictures I would like to share with you from Day 163.
Anemones and Ranunculus are two of my favourite flowers; the other two are the Peonies and roses. I love these flowers, they are simply beautiful and I hope in our next house to have a garden full of them 🙂
I bought these in a local shop and just couldn’t stop photographing them…you may see a couple more photos of them in one of my next posts! 😉
At work we have this big project’s deadline getting closer and weekend work has been offered for the last couple of weekends. I have been getting there as early as I could just so I could leave early too. On day 159, I decided to stick around for a bit longer and go to the gardens to take some pictures. Disappointedly, I am still waiting for the Cherry Blossom trees to flower; they are running a little late but hopefully they will in the next couple of days. So instead I took some pictures of the Daffodils and a Magnolia tree.
I love spring and all the pretty little flowers that blossom at this time. I am still running behind on my posts and as I catch and continue with my Project 365 in the next couple of weeks you will notice that my posts will be very much flower oriented. Here is my photo for Day 159!
