The picture below was taken at my mother-in-law’s garden. There were two cabbage white butterflies flying around these beautiful purple flowers. I took lots of shots in order to get the right one which captured one them taking off! 🙂
On day 164, we spent all afternoon tidying up our garden. When we were done we went back inside and as we were closing the back doors, we noticed a little robin had landed on the Wisteria. It then started picking some of the seeds we had put outside. It kept flying away and then coming back for more. In one of it trips back I took this picture 🙂
Yesterday hubby and I went for a walk to Marbury Park. We walked around where Marbury Hall used to be. The house was demolished in 1968 after it deteriorated over the years. It saddens me when buildings with lots of history are destroyed; all that history that the house held is now lost. All that remains now are just a few pictures and an empty plot.
Marbury state is a country Park now and although a great part of its history has been lost, we get to enjoy that beauty of the park with all its wildlife around.
I have had a very busy weekend and I apologize for the lack of posts in the last few days. I left work early on Friday as I was due to make my way to Ely, Cambridgeshire for a friends surprise party. Before we made our way there I had a bit time to go to Budworth Mere to take some pictures of the ducks.
We left for Ely at around 3pm and arrived four hours later. We had dinner at the hotel we were staying at and then went to surprise our friend. He works at a local nightclub and we all showed up there at around ten. He was very happy and pleased to see us. We had a fantastic night!
My pictures for Friday are of the ducks on the mere.
