Day 329 – Coconut Brownie

Coconut is one of my favourite flavours and I like adding them (if possible) to some of my favorite desserts. I bought the cake pictured below on a local shop, they are homemade and it was delicious!

I added some ice cream on the side but it melted too fast 😦

Day 271 – Victoria Sponge

On this Saturday hubby and I went to the Restoration Show at the Cheshire showground. It was a very wet day but we still managed to have a great time. The show was full of pretty amazing vintage items. We were looking for ideas and things that we could buy for the new house. While we were there we had a cup of tea with a delicious piece of Victoria Sponge. There was a little wasp that took a fancy of my cake. I had to wait until it flew away before I could eat my cake πŸ˜›

Day 151 – Birthday Boy

Last Friday was hubby’s birthday and we had a lovely evening with all his family. We had some Indian food, watched a film and had some cake and cupcakes. It was meant to be a surprise get together but I am not very good at keeping surprises so I ended up telling him all about it.

One of the surprises were these pretty amazing cupcakes from a cupcakery in Manchester ‘Hey Little Cupcake’. He is a Star Wars fan and I think he was really happy with them πŸ™‚

Day 84 – Sweet Treat

This week is all about Valentine’s Day. I know most people think that it is a day created by card companies but I like the idea of celebrating love. In Peru, Valentine’s Day is not only about love between couples but also about friendship. If you don’t have a special someone, you will always have good friends whom you can celebrate with.

I am very blessed to have found someone who I can celebrate this special day with. This is a day we can forget about everything else in our lives (work, chores, worries, etc) and just focus on each other and celebrate that we were lucky enough to have found one another.

My picture today is of a little something to get me started celebrating LOVE! Hope you all have wonderful week, filled with lots of love!

Three Sixty Five Project – 27th Year

I have considered doing a 365 project since I got my Nikon but have always managed to put the idea aside and not follow through. A few weeks ago, after much encouragement from my husband I decided to document my 27th year. This project is going to be quite challenging as I don’t write posts very often. I really enjoy blogging but I find it very hard to find the time to edit my pictures (I am very slow) and consequently post them. I am hoping this project will teach me to be quick at editing my photos and get me on the routine of posting everyday. I apologize in advance as the quality of some of my future pictures may not be always great as I will be taking some of them with my very old iPhone 3.

What will I be using?
Nikon D5000 and iPhone 3.

Yesterday I turned 27th…and I am not up to a very good start! So here it goes (a few hours later) DAY 1.
